WHAT: Sean Pratt presents, “The One Day MFA” – Mastering the Fine Art of Theatre Auditions and Actor Marketing” with Arena Stage Casting Director Daniel Pruksarnukul on Saturday, August 18th
Daniel’s class, 5 Minutes to Shine goes from 10 to 1 and covers the following:
• Each actor will perform 2 SHORT, contrasting audition pieces, running no longer than five minutes total.
• Daniel will provide feedback and give adjustments if needed.
• As time permits, Daniel will talk about the casting process at Arena Stage.
Sean’s class, From Hello to Hired – Actor Marketing 101 is from 2 to 5. It will focus on:
• An understanding of the “Actor’s Business Cycle.”
• Various forms of advertising to get your marketing messages out.
• The “Nuts and Bolts” of setting up a marketing campaign.
WHEN: Saturday, August 18th 2012 – From 10am to 5pm, with a one hour lunch break. Doors open at 9:30AM.
WHERE: The Actors’ Center, Universalist National Memorial Church, 1810 16th St. NW (corner of 16th & S) in the upstairs office. They’re also near the Dupont Circle Metro and the U Street/Cardozo Metro.
HOW:
• Class size is limited to EIGHT actors, only!
• $175 for both classes; Cash, Check or Pay Pal.
• $150 for members of: AEA, SAG, AFTRA, WIFV, TIVA, Actors’ Center.
• $125 for Student Actors; must have valid ID.

Daniel Pruksarnukul – has just finished his third season as the Casting Director of Arena Stage, and is now the Artistic Associate: Casting. He is a graduate of the Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship program at Arena, and was awarded the Thomas Fichandler Award for Theater Management Excellence. Other regional casting credits include projects for: Centerstage, Seattle Rep, and True Colors Theater Company. He has directed shows for the Potomac Theatre Project’s After Dark Series, Arena Stage’s Student Playwrighting Project, the Capital Fringe Festival, and the Source Theatre Festival.
